Flint Hills Praisefest does not charge for tickets to our event, and we never will. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the performances and community at Praisefest without having to worry about buying a ticket.
In order to make this work, Praisefest relies on sponsorships, volunteers, and donations.
As an act of gratitude and worship, 10% of all donations to Praisefest will be shared with our featured charities (Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Working Men of Christ). The rest will be used for our operating costs.
Even though Praisefest 2020 was postponed due to the coronavirus, Flint Hills Praisefest is committing itself to follow through on the promise it made to the charities. Thus, October Harvest was born:
OCTOBER HARVEST
Praisefest Presents October HarvestFrom September 26th - October 10th, Praisefest is raising donations for the charities, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Working Men of Christ. New Century Bank has committed to matching these donations up to $10,000 during this time period.
Purpose
We want this event to accomplish two things:
1. Raise donations for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Working Men of Christ.
2. Bring together the awesome community that has supported Praisefest and our charities over the years.
We encourage our Praisefest community to come together and share memories from past years of Praisefest. Feel free to share stories and memories, what Praisefest means to you, or any words of encouragement for our community. You can post your message, image, or video response in our October Harvest Facebook Event (September 26th - October 10th) for the community to see. Remember to tag a few of your friends who have attended Praisefest. We cannot accomplish our goal without your support. Our Praisefest team, sponsors, and charities will all be sharing new content during this event.
There’s no reason that we should let these times get the better of us. Even from afar, we can still come together and make a difference for others. We can reflect the grace, love, and blessings that God gives us and give back as a community, a body of Christ. This is our opportunity to pool in unity to gather the harvest this October for these charities:
Working Men of Christ:
This great faith-based organization exists to help men who are transitioning out of incarceration, homelessness, and/or poverty. Just recently, a home for men was started in Manhattan, with hopes and plans to change the future and legacy of men's lives. Fellowship of Christian Athletes:
This organization exists to reach coaches and athletes with the saving truth of the gospel. This organization is building up and connecting with more coaches and student-athletes than ever before with eternal hope. Praisefest stands on three pillars - Community, Worship, and Giving. The goal of this event is to bring together our community and share encouraging memories of worship. We are all saddened that we’re unable to sing praises alongside each other this year at our annual Praisefest event, but that’s no reason to stop celebrating and worshipping! We want you all to celebrate and cherish all of the wonderful memories we have collected since Praisefest first began in 2011. Our last pillar is Giving. This year, we have a challenge of continuing to raise donations for our two charities, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Working Men of Christ.
